Assessment Services proctors the COMPASS assessment. COMPASS, a computerized skills assessment and placement instrument for entering students, is administered in the Success Center, located in the Sullivan Tech Center on the second floor. Students receive a copy of their COMPASS results within minutes of completion. It is recommended that students retain these placement results and bring them to all advising appointments. COMPASS results assist in the enrollment, registration, and academic planning process.

An initial COMPASS skills assessment is free of charge. Students may only take COMPASS one time per semester. A fee of $20 is charged at the time of retesting.
