This grant has allowed us to develop a Digital Learning Studio for faculty and staff professional development. The latest technology and software is available for faculty and staff workshops and seminars. If you would like to schedule a workshop in the Digital Learning Lab, or have ideas and requests for specific Professional Development learning opportunities, please contact Jon Reidford, Learning Specialist, AD 208, ext. 19829.

Open training times in the Digital Learning Lab are (during fall and spring semester):

Monday: 1-3 p.m.

Thursday: 1-3 p.m.

Friday: 10 a.m.- noon

The Digital Learning Studio offers 12 computers and a SMARTBOARD (soon to be a Sympodium) connected to the teacher's workstation. Several types of software are available including Microsoft Office,Movie Maker, Photo Story, Softchalk, and Adobe Acrobat Creator, to name a few.

There is a scanner attached to one of the machines allowing you to scan in documents to file. There are also many books on distance education, personal motivation, and education technology available as well (help yourself to some coffee...)!

Please note there is literature available in the front of the room on the various software and technologies available in the lab and around the college. Please take and use this literature to assist you in your technology training!
